Why SafeStamp

While the overwhelming majority of adults who work in sport for children (or who volunteer their time) are exemplary role models, there are a few who are not.

Some deviant adults use the camaraderie of sport to exploit or abuse children, while other adults harm children because they lack knowledge or training.

World-wide sport has seen many instances of adults with authority over children engaging in physical, emotional or sexual abuse of those children – and this abuse MUST STOP.

This initiative is designed to reach everyone involved with youth sport and physical activity across the CARICOM region, including;

• Regional and National Sport Governing bodies
• Government Ministries responsible for sport
• Teams/ Sporting Academies
• Community Based Organizations
• Schools
• Parents
• Coaches
• Teachers
• Athletes
